Re: 1039, Smoothed out slappy Hours
This is probably one of my least favourite Green Day albums. I don't really know why, I just never got into it that much.
Despite this, I actually own 2 copies of it (I lost one, brought a new copy to replace it, then found the old copy *rolls eyes*) And, since my computer has been broken, I have listened to it more in the last month as a complete album (not just select songs) than I ever have before.

I find it quite hard to place this album anywhere in a top list of Green Day albums. This album is very situational. And it fucking rules sometimes. It has the most special feeling ever to it. I can't really explain why I like it soo much but... I just do.

It's rather awesome, the songs are great, and they still sound as good now as they did when they were recorded. Although...Al Sobrante is not as good a drummer as Tré. *whispers* He's not as good looking either...

Really? I quite like it.
Paper Lanterns makes me laugh. I went out with this guy and I dumped him, but we're still friends. I knew he still liked me, and wanted to ask me back out, so I stole his notebook in English and wrote the lyrics to Paper Lanterns inside it...

^ thats amazing Peacemaker xD Shutdown!
I really like this album. As with alot of my Green Day albums, I forget where and when I got them, but I listen to 1039 loads early last year as it was a bit of a difficult time, and the songs really got me through it. So I kinda hold it up quite high in regard now I have to disagree with PunKZ on Dry Ice, I love that song. This video on YouTube at 1:22, Mike looks so cute flicking his hair back and the concentration on his face, you just want to take him home :3
