Like rosslaw86, I saw Green Day at the legendary Milton Keynes show too (I went on the Sunday). I was 13, it was my first ever show, let alone Green Day show, and it completely blew me away, and I still hold it in such high regard to this day; hell, even after meeting my other favourite band Alkaline Trio TWICE, seeing Green Day still beat it. I got into Green Day late 2004-ish and I've never looked back. I'm lucky enough to be seeing them in Rocktober [as fans are lovingly calling the UK dates] and I cannot wait. My primary school friend went to the same Milton Keynes show as me and we planed in advance to meet up but my phone ran out of battery! Now she's again going to the same Rocktober show as me, she reminded me on Facebook "Don't forget to charge your phone this time!" xD

I brought them from gigsandtours.com the hour they were released, but they said they wouldn't be sent out until October at the earliest.

Awh. Seriously, we got tickets right at the last minute, we were so lucky to manage getting some. They were prsented to me as a suprise and I couldn't believe it "Are they eal? Am I actually seeing them?" and I went mental and rung all my friends' excitedly. Really was the best day ever, we got back at 4am...and I had school the next day! I was soo sleepy in French I had my head on the desk At the time I didn't even realise how legendary it would go on to be!

I watch the Bullet in A Bible DVD on its anniversary every year <3

my friend who used to like Green Day but now hates them got offered tickets for Milton Keynes (she lived in England at this point, she's moved back up now) AND DECLINED THEM BECAUSE SHE HAD A SCIENCE TEST THE NEXT DAY


but then this is the same friend who decided to walk crosseyed and walked straight into a pole, and also lay under a table, squirted bleach up the way, and laughed when it landed in her eyes, and left her husky at the shop because she'd forgotten that she'd taken the dog. How the hell do you forget a damn husky?

I'm seeing them on the 9th NZ sold out so i'm flying to Australia to see them, it will be my first GD show so I hope it's worth it but i'm sure it will be

Ohhhhh my god, of course it will be! It blows all your expectations out the window. I saw them when they came to Glasgow, that was my first Green Day gig...and all the things people say about them being amazing live, they can shove them up their arse and sook my finger because you can't give them justice by words on how amazing it is.

Not to mention Billie wore my feather boa :3 Fucking score.

awesome hopefully i'll be allowed cameras in there so i can take pictures, i haven't been to many concerts do dont know the deal with bringing cameras in. really excited tho!

I got my camera in fine, but I found my pictures were better when I didn't use my flash. The stewards didn't tell anyone off for using a flash though, at least not in my section. I was in the upper tier, so it might have been different if you were standing right at the front. I'd imagine getting blinded by several thousand camera flashes must be pretty off-putting, so I couldn't blame them if they did say no flash photography.

I loved seeing Green Day in Sweden, however I think my expectations might have been too high, cuz I didn't think it was THAT great. Still, it was an awesome show.

However, the best show of that day was the one my girlfriend pulled of before the show had even started outside the Globe on the street while the people that were walking by were staring at her like she was crazy or something

why were they staring at her like she was crazy? lol
